IRIB officials condole Hezbollah media chief’s martyrdom

Head of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB), Peyman Jebelli, and IRIB World Service chief, Ahmad Norouzi, have issued statements condoling the martyrdom of Mohammad Afif, Hezbollah's media relations chief, who was killed in an Israeli airstrike in Beirut.

The attack also claimed the lives of his colleagues Musa Haidar, Mahmoud al-Sharqawi, and Hilal Termos on November 17.

In his statement on Monday, Jebelli described Afif as a pillar of Hezbollah's media efforts and a symbol of resilience for the Lebanese resistance. He lauded the late media official's decades-long commitment to "media jihad", particularly his pivotal role in countering the Zionist regime's narratives during times of aggression. 

Jebelli praised Afif's dedication to exposing the crimes of the Israeli occupation and his firm stance in the face of the enemy’s propaganda machinery, calling his martyrdom "a badge of honor on the path to al-Quds".

He further reaffirmed Iranian media's unwavering support for the Lebanese resistance and its cause. 

Ahmad Norouzi also extended his condolences, emphasizing Afif’s pivotal role as a bridge between the resistance and the global media.

Norouzi described Afif as a "firm voice and strong link" who made an indelible mark on the resistance’s media landscape, emphasizing that his martyrdom is a significant loss for the IRIB World Service and its staff, who had the privilege of working with him.
